Let the battle begin! Calling all combat masters. Campers will learn to design and build motorized battle robots. Using principles of simple and complex machines, gearing, and mechanical advantage, students will try to flip, push, pull or overcome their opponent’s battle robot. The robots will battle against one another in tasks such as sumo-wrestling, tug-o-war, head-to-head combat and much more. Campers will put their skills to the test and see who can build the best battle bot and the designer of the “last robot standing” for each round will be the winner. Campers will bring home a take-home robotics kit at the end of class. [1 week-4 sessions]
