How do I register for an IVCC continuing education class? 

Register In Person: At the IVCC Main Campus, Oglesby, Room CTC-219.
 

Register for an IVCC Online Continuing Education or Advanced Career Training Course

Students registering for online ed2go classes will register and pay for their course directly on our ed2go.com/ivcc web-site. 

How do I pay for my class? 

Unless otherwise specified, payment is due at the time of registration. Cash, credit card, debit card, check, or money order is accepted. Payment can be made by phone or completed online if using online registration.

You will receive a confirmation of your registration and payment via e-mail.  
 

I don't live in the IVCC district. Can I take a continuing education class, bus trip or register my child for summer camp? 

YES! We welcome individuals from outside our district to participate in IVCC's non-credit lifelong learning opportunities including bus trips, summer camp, professional development, business training and personal enrichment classes. There is no additional out of district fee for non-credit students.

My class requires a book. Where do I purchase my book for class?

If your class requires a textbook, you may need to utilize the services provided by the IVCC Bookstore (located on the Oglesby Campus only). Books can be purchased on-site or online for mail delivery by visiting the bookstore web-site. 

For students attending class at the Ottawa Center, you can order your book in advance and have it delivered to the Ottawa Center at no additional charge. Books are delivered on Wednesdays of each week, be sure to place your book order no later than the Tuesday before the first day of your class.

Parking for Classes Meeting in CTC, Building A, B, C, D, E, F - recommended in Lot #7 (anytime) or Lot #1 (after 5 p.m.)
Parking for Classes Meeting in Building J - recommended in Lot #7 near the ATB building.
Parking for Classes Meeting In Building G - recommended in Lot #6. 
Accessible Parking - available at the front of the main building in Lot #8 and in Lot #7. 
Visitor Parking - there are designated visitor parking spots located in Lot #1
Bus Trip Parking - the pick-up location for bus trips is Lot #4.


 

Refund policy

To cancel your registration before a class starts, please call (815) 224-0427. Refunds will be issued to students who cancel the class at least one business day prior to the class start date, unless otherwise noted. Some programs such as online classes, culinary and/or trips and tours may have different refund policy terms.
 

Class cancellation policy

The Continuing Education Center reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. If a class must be canceled by the Continuing Education Center you will receive a full refund. Attempt will be made to contact students by emial, text, or phone.

Occasionally it may be necessary to reschedule a class due to an instructor emergency. Attempt will be made to contact students by email, text, or phone.

Weather related or emergency closings

The college may close campus due to inclement weather or unexpected circumstances. Please check the college web-site at ivcc.edu for campus wide announcements. We will also update the Continuing Education Center Facebook page in the event of campus closing. 

You can also sign up for IVCC's RAVE alert system which delivers automatic notifications by email and text in the event of campus closings. Call the IVCC Registration Office at (815) 224-0447.
