Pre-requisite: Students should have completed Photography for Beginners: DSLR or have permission from the instructor to register for this class.

Portrait Photography is a useful skill; whether you want to take better pictures of your family or are considering expanding your business portfolio. This class will include quality and direction of light, light patterns, measuring light and types of light. Explore camera lens selection for portraits. Learn the principles of subject placement, posing and camera angles. You will also have an introduction to Adobe Photoshop for portraiture retouching and an overview of the business of portraiture. Bring a digital SLR camera, lens, memory card and camera manual to class.
