Slow down and reconnect through a peaceful, mindful walking practice. Take a gentle walk through the woods, practicing presence, breath awareness and appreciation for each step. No meditation experience is necessary – just bring comfortable shoes, and open heart and a willingness to slow down. Each session will focus on a different theme. In the event of inclement weather, class will be held indoors.
July 9: Walking Meditation: Santosha
Santosha is a concept from the philosophical tradition of Yoga philosophy that means contentment or deep inner satisfaction. It refers to accepting and appreciating the present moment just as it is—without constantly striving for more or comparing yourself to others. Rather than depending on external circumstances for happiness, santosha encourages a steady sense of peace, gratitude, and “enoughness” from within. In practice, santosha can look like, letting go of frustration over what you can’t control , feeling grateful for what you have right now, finding calm even when life isn’t perfect.
Additional single-session classes are scheduled for:
June 18: Focus on Ahimsa
August 20: Self Actualization
