If that is a distress signal you or someone you know is sending out, come find out how executive functioning skills, or lack thereof, could contribute. Executive functioning skills help all of us create goals as well as plan, organize and coordinate steps to meet them. However, some people struggle with executive functioning and that makes it hard to initiate tasks, focus on them, persist without frustration, recall needed information and monitor progress. This session will help participants understand the aspects of executive functioning, identify barriers executive dysfunction might create in school, work or home settings, and learn about some strategies and resources that could support executive functioning and change the signal from distress to success.
