Breaking the Prairie - Agriculture in LaSalle County | In-Person Single Session

ID : 25323

« back to classes page
LaSalle County is a vibrant agricultural hub where fertile prairie soils and a temperate climate come together to support a diverse farming economy. With its strong network of cooperatives and grain elevators, LaSalle County also benefits from efficient logistics and access to major rail and highway corridors. We will discuss how early settlers began farming in this area and how agriculture has evolved over time.

Presented by: Jeff Maierhofer (Seneca Historical Guild) and Mollie Perrot (Ottawa History and Scouting Heritage Museum)
