In this session, we will continue to explore the rich industrial history of LaSalle County, highlighting the sand mining that fueled glassmaking in Streator, the artistry and industry of glass production, the legacy of bricks and tiles, and the iconic Westclox factory. Learn how local resources and ingenuity shaped these thriving industries and left a lasting impact on the region’s economy and identity.
