
Explore career opportunities and requirements to be a professional welder and metal fabricator. Students will study basic MIG welding, workplace safety, manufacturing processes, and basic print reading skills. They will design projects and use their metal cutting skills to complete projects to specification. Skills essential to the workplace, such as punctuality and problem solving will be covered. The camp will include a presentation from industry leaders who work in the profession.
Ages: 13-17

Students should wear long pants or jeans, with no holes (no shorts, skirts, or capris), a long sleeve cotton shirt [no dry-fit], and leather boots. Long hair should be tied back. *This camp is partially funded by a grant through Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs and Perkins.
