This ELDT School Bus Endorsement course is structured to prepare aspiring school bus drivers with the essential knowledge and skills required for safe and efficient transportation. Offered in a flexible online format, this course is perfect for current school employees and individuals seeking new career opportunities in school districts or private transportation companies.

In addition to the separate Behind-the-Wheel Training required to obtain the School Bus (S) Endorsement, this online training is a crucial step in obtaining a School Bus Endorsement (S) on your current Commercial Driver's License (CDL). It covers critical aspects such as the regulatory framework for school transportation, pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and licensing requirements, all aimed at enhancing student safety.

You will learn essential safety measures related to school bus operations, including danger zones and proper use of mirrors, as well as gain insights into loading and unloading procedures, and hazard awareness. Student management techniques are also covered in this S Endorsement course, so that you are equipped to maintain order and manage distractions effectively. To ensure the safety and well-being of your students, you will also learn emergency evacuation methods and how to respond to security threats.

The convenience of learning online will allow you to engage with the interactive modules, quizzes, and discussions at your own pace, facilitating a deep understanding of the material while also balancing any other commitments you may have. By completing the course, you will be prepared for the theory portion of the CDL S Endorsement test required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and achieve confidence in your ability to contribute positively to a safe and efficient school transportation environment.
