Learn the essentials of 3D modeling and design with this beginner SOLIDWORKS training. This course covers the core tools and workflows of SOLIDWORKS, including part modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings, providing a solid foundation for more advanced design challenges. Whether you are a student, hobbyist, or professional, this online SOLIDWORKS course will equip you with the skills to confidently create and communicate your designs.

During this self-paced course, you will apply sketching tools, constraints, and dimensions to create parametric models, then build 3D parts using essential features like extrude, revolve, cut, fillet, shell, and pattern. You will also learn to design with intent, so your models remain clean, organized, and easy to edit. Training will enable you to produce professional 2D drawings with views, dimensions, and annotations, and complete a cohesive project—a playground modeled as parts and sub-assemblies, finished with a blueprint set.

Next, this SOLIDWORKS software training takes a deep dive into advanced modeling, assemblies, and professional blueprint creation. The second part of your course focuses on specialized tools like sheet metal, weldments, and boundary/loft features, while also teaching you how to create complex assemblies and manufacturing-ready drawings.

By the end of the course, you will learn SOLIDWORKS fundamentals that are essential for career success and have the expertise to design intricate projects— such as a commercial-grade espresso machine—and render them for professional use.
