IVCC Wind Ensemble

The Wind Ensemble is a performance band that is composed of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments and performs classical music. Enrollment is open to students and community members who have previous wind band experience, with an audition and/or consent of the instructor. Students in the ensemble will develop technical skills with an instrument, develop group performance skills and become exposed to a variety of musical styles and periods. The Wind Ensemble meets regularly for instruction and rehearsals (usually once a week). The ensemble performs at least one formal concert per semester and informal performances and activities as possible. Prerequisite: High school band experience and consent of instructor. Audition required for enrollment. PD hours available for teachers.

Academic Credit: Students wishing to take this course for academic credit should register for MUP-1002-300.
